SWT Destination Stewardship Award

Recognizes an individual, business or nonprofit organization that effectively promotes, progresses or institutes environmental or cultural preservation or regeneration in the State of Washington.

Nominations may include one or more of the following elements:

Preservation of a valuable environmental asset and/or successful stimulation of sustainable tourism practices that help protect and preserve the environment
Adaptive re-use of structure that promotes tourism while simultaneously benefitting a community and its residents
Business practices that demonstrate the highest standards of stewardship, balancing the needs of the community or environment with visitors
Successful marketing program or promotion that stimulates inclusive growth and positive transformational change or business practices in a community
Promotion or protection of a community’s authentic sense of place for the benefit of residents and locals
