Weeknight competition - Weekly games - 1 game per day - 12 games inc finals - Cost - $200 per player

Weekend - Fortnightly games - 2 Games per day. 10 games inc finals - Cost -  $165 per player.

TEAM COMPOSITION:

We recommend a 7 player squad, including a goalkeeper, however extra players can be registered if need be.
 

INSURANCE:

Each player needs to register via Squadi to be covered by Football Queensland insurance. Registrations costs $37.50 per player and covers the player for all FQ affiliated futsal competitions and tournaments (if you have previously paid the $37.50 since April 2024, you will not be charged again). NO REGISTRATION NO PLAY. Link will be provided to Team Contact once team has been accepted into the comp. 

Players will be required to individually register (and pay) online via SQUADI prior to taking the field. Information and links on 'How to Register' will be sent to Team Contacts once team has been accepted.

Player registrations will need to be completed by no later than Sunday 1st September 2024 for weeknight competitions and Friday 11th October 2024 for weekend competitions to be eligible for Round 1 matches.

FUTSAL – Basic Laws of the Game

Substitutions
• You do not need to ask the referee to stop the game to make substitutions unless the player being substituted is the Goalkeeper.
• It is running subs, where players must enter and leave the field of play at the same time - from in the substitution zone (normally on the sideline opposite the referee).
• Teams are allowed to borrow players for a given match (not finals) from the same division or a division below to be able to field a team (5 players). At least 3 players from the original team must be present for the match to count. If no player from the same or a lower division is available to fill in, a player from a higher division can be borrowed only with the opposition team’s agreement before the match.

Kick In
• In order to restart the game after a ball has gone out of play, the ball is kicked back into play from the touchline and from corners. The ball must be placed stationary on the touchline.

The Four Second Rule
•For all restarts of play (kick-ins, free kicks, goal clearances and corner kicks) the player in possession of the ball has 4 seconds to restart play. If play isn’t restarted within four seconds, possession is surrendered to the opposing team.

•The goalkeeper is not allowed to control the ball for more than 4 seconds in his/her own half.

The Five Steps Rule
• Players are required to keep 5 steps from the player in possession of the ball on free kicks, corners, goal
clearances, kick-ins and penalties.

Goalkeepers
• Goalkeepers can come out of the penalty area and players are allowed to go into the penalty area.
• A Goal clearance from the goalkeeper must be thrown, but the goalkeeper can use their feet to distribute the ball from open/general play.

Back Passes
• The goalkeeper is not allowed to pick up the ball using his/her hands when a team mate deliberately pass them the ball during play.

Playing on the ground
• Players can play on the ground as long as there are no other players within playing distance of the ball (at least 1m). NO SLIDE TACKLES ARE ALLOWED.

Red Cards
• If a player receives a red card, that player is sent off and will have to leave the field of play and surroundings. Referee’s decisions are final.
• The team with the red card will have to play with 4 players on the court for a total of 2 minutes, or until the opposition score a goal. If the opposition score a goal or the 2-minute elapses, the team who received the red card can send on a new player to go back to 5 players.
