LEGEND CAIO KARATE CLUB CODE OF SAFETY

Legend Caio Karate will provide a reasonable duty of care to members within the Club to prevent harm or injury. In turn, you are required to read, understand and adhere to this Code of Safety. If you do not understand any of the Code of Safety items listed below, please refer your query to the Instructor.

In order for any club event or class to take place, an experienced Instructor/Member must be present.

2.All participants taking part in a club activity shall be Club members and be aware of the safety code that is held by the Instructor.

3.Any non-members taking part in free introductory classes shall be made aware of the Legend  Caio karate Code of Safety and be informed they are able to participate in Club activity at their own risk.

4.Karate suit (Gi) is to be worn by each member and participating non-members are to be advised to wear appropriate loose comfortable clothing.

5.Please note that beginners can wear beginner's Gi during competitions and advanced competitors will have to wear WKF karate Gi.

6.All jewellery or watches must be removed before participating in any karate Activities.

7.Any members' medical conditions (eg; asthma, epilepsy, diabetes) must be stated on the Member Application form.

8.Any member recovering from serious injury (eg; knee surgery, concussion, broken bones) must be made known to the Instructor.

9.Any member suffering from, or aware of, an infectious disease must be made known to the Instructor.

10.A first aid kit will be present at all Club activities.

11. Any pregnant member/new member must seek appropriate Medical Advice with regard to their level of participation in Karate. The pregnant member must take all reasonable steps to prevent injury to themselves, other participants or Instructors. Legend Caio Karate requests written authorisation from the appropriate Medical Practitioner, for their records, should the member wish to remain active in karate during pregnancy. Pregnant members are responsible for the health of their unborn child and accept the risks.

12.Personal blood spillage is to be cleaned up by the injured member, at the time of injury. The injured member will take all reasonable steps to ensure non-contact with members during blood spillage, exposed or open wounds. Instructors can provide protective gloves to be worn for dealing with blood spillage.

13.It is the members' responsibility to ensure drink bottles do not spill or leak onto the training area flooring. If such should happen, it is the members' responsibility to clean up and dry the area immediately.

14. No shoes on the Tatami (karate Mat).

Acknowledgement Statement As a member of Legend Caio Karate, I have read and understand the Legend  Caio Karate Code of Safety as outlined above.

CLASSES 

• club sessions to run for 1 hour 

        junior class from 1630hrs to 1730hrs

        Elite Class from 1730hrs to 1830hrs

•CLASSES RUNS EVERY WEDNESDAY AND FRIDAYS

• holiday Schedules will be communicated to all.

• Students who wishes to leave/Quit the Club shall give a one month Notice

•Each session will cost £7.00 and Payable Per month in advance (before end of the first week).

•Sibling Discount £6.00 per Child for each session

EXTRA COSTS 

Initially karate Suit will cost £25.00

trainee's karate license at £35.00 for affiliation to the English Karate Federation.

After qualifying period and reaching the required karate standards, students will be able to take a test for their belt (karate Grading).
