BUS Grant Information
Please note! Design Me A Heat Pump Ltd is the "MCS certified Installer," your actual installer of the Heat Pump equipment is our "Approved Subcontractor"
Applications for the Government Incentive the Boiler Upgrade Scheme (BUS), are subject to several eligibility requirements and they are assessed and determined by OFGEM.
Design Me A Heat Pump cannot guarantee that your BUS grant application will be successful, we act in good faith based on the information you have provided, OFGEM make the final decision of approval. We have provided you with information of the services included in our fee such as MCS certificate, Commissioning, Building control notifications and Handover Pack. Once the BUS grant application has been submitted we can not offer any fee refund if the application has been unsuccessful.
At the point that OFGEM approves a BUS application, a voucher to the value of £7,500 is issued, once issued, the voucher is available for 12 weeks.
In order to redeem the voucher, the heat pump system must be fully commissioned with the appropriate MCS documentation completed. Additionally, an up-to-date Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) for the property must be available. OFGEM will then pay the £7,500 to Design Me A Heat Pump Ltd – the BUS account holder – which will then be paid onto the installer.
With effect from the 8th May 2024 a BUS application must be properly made within 120 days of the commissioning date stated on the MCS certificate.
