• The Skating Club of Phoenix Junior Board is comprised of young club members. When you become part of the Junior Board, you will learn all about how a skating club operates, and what other opportunities there are in a club. Serving on the Junior Board allows skaters to exceed the individualistic aspect of the sport and become involved with volunteering, building a common purpose, enhancing friendships, building leaderships traits and learning to function as effective and valuable members of an organization.

  • The Junior Board is involved in and helps with a number of events throughout the year including:

    • Junior Board Award at Fiesta Skate
    • Fundraisers
    • Holiday Parties & Events
    • Choosing Skater Gifts for Competitions
    • National Send Offs

    Requirements for Junior Board Members:

    • Must be a current member of SCP, between the ages of 8-17
    • Able to commit to a bi-monthly meeting for the Junior Board (time commitment 1-1.5 hour(s))
    • Able to commit to ad-hoc time for club events (time commitment approximately 1-2 hours)
    • Understand the importance of being a leader and setting a great example for other skaters
