    Please complete the following to nominate for the position of State Councillor for WACSSO.
  • The Nomination period is now open for the following WACSSO State Council Elections:

    Nomination period closes noon, Friday 3rd April 2026      

    • Great Southern (Term Election)
    • Joondalup West (Term Election)
    • Midwest (Term Election)
    • North West (Term Election)
    • Perth North (Term Election)
    • Swan East (Term Election)
    • Canning East (By-Election)
    • Canning West (By-Election)
    • Perth South (By-Election)
    • Swan West (By-Election)
    • Warren-Blackwood (By-Election)

    On submission of this form, you will receive a PDF of the information by email. The PDF needs to be signed by two P&C Office Bearers (not the applicant).

    The nomination will only be considered complete once WACSSO has received the following documentation:

    • The signed PDF
    • Either an Education Department Screening Clearance no older than six months or evidence of submitting a clearance application and any other documentation complying with any other Department of Education requirements (WACSSO Constitution Rule 13.8.6) Apply online only at www.education.wa.edu.au/ncchc 
    • A copy of your P&C Meeting Minutes containing the nomination resolution
    • A copy of your P&C Membership receipt

  • This section is your opportunity to advocate why you are the best person for the role of Councillor. We recommend writing this section in the first person and highlighting your skills, interests, qualifications, and relevant experience.

    Please include: 

    • the years you have been a member of specific P&C Associations
    • the roles you have held within P&Cs
    • any other relevant community or work experience   


    Your statement will be published for voting purposes without alteration (other than minor formatting). Please keep your response to one or two succinct paragraphs. If you list any formal qualifications, WACSSO staff will ask to sight a copy for verification.

  • A nomination for State Councillor requires a resolution passed at a duly convened P&C Meeting and the signatures of two P&C Office Bearers (not the applicant). Please provide the details of the two P&C Office Bearers who will confirm the endorsement.

    By ticking the box you confirm that the Office Bearer will sign the form that will be emailed to the nominee on submission and that the nominee will arrange for the signed form to be emailed to secretary@wacsso.wa.edu.au by the closing of nominations.
