Applicant Commitment
The KAPAZ Summer School is free of charge to participants but it is a uniquely valuable and competitive opportunity. If you are offered a place, you are expected to fully commit to the entirety of the in-person programme, based at the Alexander von Humboldt Institute for Internet and Society (HIIG) in Berlin, Germany. By applying to join the Summer School, you acknowledge the following:
- You are expected to attend all 3 Summer School days from 7-8 July 2025 at the HIIG (Französische Str. 9, 10117 Berlin). We can provide a document confirming your successful application if you need to get permission from your university or research institute. Please note the days in your calendar when you apply.
- Please note: travel and accommodation costs are at your own expense. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
- We expect you to complete any required preparatory reading and exercises, which we will share ahead of the Summer School. It will not be a huge time commitment (no more than 3 hours) but will ensure everyone starts from a common point.
- To ensure the quality of the offer and to monitor your learning journey, we will be carrying out an evaluation of the programme, including surveys and interviews. With your application, you consent to be contacted for this process.
