WHY ARE WE COLLECTING THIS DATA?
MARPA has entered into a Market Development Cooperator Program (MDCP) program with the United States Commerce Department. The purpose of the program is to expand the export of FAA-PMA aircraft parts. We are collecting data to demonstrate the effectiveness of this program to our partners at the Commerce Department. The Commerce Department uses this data to report to Congress the effect of their programs on jobs and export revenue in America.
HOW WILL WE USE THIS DATA?
These questions are intended to generate data that will be shared with the United States Commerce Department. We will only report the results of this survey in the aggregate, and we will do so in a way that protects the confidentiality of individual company data. We may report aggregate data to the public if we deem it to be relevant or useful to the industry, but will only do so in a way that protects the confidentiality of our individual members’ data, and in a way that makes the same data available to all of our members.
HOW DOES MARPA PROTECT MY BUSINESS’ CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION?
We recognize that past and future sale information is typically confidential information that is not shared with the public. We will only report the results of this survey in the aggregate, and we will do so in a way that protects the confidentiality of individual company data. Any collection of this data will be deidentified, so that your information cannot be identified in the future. The original copies of any data will be protected to the same degree that we protect legal information. We WILL NOT share individual company responses with the MARPA Board and we will only share aggregate data with the MARPA Board to the extent it is also made available to the membership. YOU CAN HELP us protect your data by making sure that you return your survey results here or via PDF directly to MARPA, even if you got a copy of the survey from someone else.
