    Provide a delineated budget to support your requested amount. If travel funds are required, please outline the cost of airline tickets, lodging, conference or admission fees, and estimated meal costs. If you are looking to hire someone for a project related to the grant, please provide rationale for the amount provided. If requesting library resources, consult with your subject librarian to determine if the library will support the purchase or if they would anticipate any additional processing costs. Provide a list (with estimated) prices of the resources desired.

  • NOTE:
    1. Your application will emailed to your Department Chair and Divisional Dean. While thier approval for the grant application is not required, they will be provided opportunity to offer feedback to the committee regarding the grant application. 

    2. Grants are issued with the understanding that:
    ○ You will submit a reconciled budget and narrative report at the end of the grant period.
    ○ If any of these grant monies are used for travel, please follow the travel reimbursement guidlines for Faculty Development Grants.
    ○ Due to federal regulations, if part of your request is for funds to pay a student, current employee, or other individual, please contact the GPS office (x7309) to discuss distribution of these funds before the indiviual begins work.

    3. Most grants expenses will be facilitated via Wheaton College purchasing card. Awardees must account for expenses within 30 days of completion of the project or before July 1 for expenses before June 30 of the fiscal year. Specific instructions will be provided if awarded.  

    4. Occasionally activity outlined in the proposal changes based on conferences being cancelled or other unforseen circumstances.  Consultation and approval from the Executive Director of GPS is required should there be any deviations from the activity proposed.
