The Monkey Bar & Grille Performance Agreement Logo
  • The Monkey Bar & Grille Performance Agreement

  • Band/Artist agrees to:

    • Arrive at least one hour before starting to set up and conduct a sound check. Start and end at designated times, and clean up/break down in less than 1 hour.
    • Perform for 4 hours, including two 30-minute breaks: perform for the first full hour, followed by a 30-minute break; perform for the second full hour, followed by a 30-minute break; and lastly, perform for the last full hour.
    • Ensure proper sound levels and optimum sound blend for indoor or outdoor performance, with decibels remaining under 90-92 (in-house decibel meters) and bass/drum levels regulated by The Monkey Bar & Grille (MBG) management. These are township noise regulation requirements.
    • Provide music immediately upon a break.
    • Be responsible for your equipment and protect against rain and weather.
    • Behave professionally in language and actions that fit our family-friendly venue.
    • Refrain from drug usage or excessive consumption of alcohol on our property.
    • No band tab is provided by MBG.
    • Park in designated parking for loading/unloading, then move vehicles to an open parking spot or under the bridge.
    • Inform MBG of any changes in payment information before a check is written for performance.
  • Sound System

    • The band/acoustic is responsible for bringing the usual setup required for performance. The load-in for outside performances should include everything the band usually needs except main speakers and monitors. NOTE: The Band's main speakers and monitors are required if the show is moved to the inside venue.

    • The mains are divided into 3 channels: left, right, and subwoofer.
For acoustic sets, you may plug into the system from your soundboard or portable sound system. Using a portable sound system, turn your main volume down.

    • Bands can mix their own sound and set the volume to a desired level. The MBG sound system will regulate the amount of sound output based on the patio's design.

    • MBG highly recommends bands/acoustic to allow enough time to set up and perform a sound check.

  • Cancellation Policy

    • Once a date is booked and confirmed by both parties (A text reminder will be sent out 2 weeks before the show asking for confirmation), Band/Artist and MBG must give a written notice to change or cancel any performance date or time. The only exceptions are unforeseen circumstances, such as inclement weather, power outages, illness, death in the family or business closing. Cancellations will carry no payment.
    • If Band/Artist cancels within the 7-day time frame, they may forfeit future performances at the discretion of MBG.
    • If Band/Artist has begun playing and, due to an “Act of God”, is unable to continue their performance, the payment will be figured at a prorated amount for the time for which Band/Artist performed. To note, MBG has added a curtain to the most weather effected side and is looking into plastic covering on all 3 sides for 2025. This should resolve any temporary delays. In most cases the rain is in and out in 30 minutes, in which we will delay the show at full pay. In the case that weather looks like it could affect the entire 4-hour performance, the show will be moved inside from the start. Inside pricing is less due to the much smaller audience capacity. In the unusual case that a band plays for 2 hours and a decision is made to cancel the rest of the performance, then the Band/Artist will receive 75% of the payment. If Band/Artist stops and leaves without a good reason, then there may be no payment carried with this breach in the agreement.
  • Indemnification

    • It is understood that the Band/Artist is independent, and not an employee of MBG. Band/Artist agrees to indemnify and hold harmless MBG from all claims, losses, expenses, fees, including attorney fees, costs, and judgments that may be asserted against MBG that result from the acts including the Band/Artists, members, agents, or affiliates, if any.
