A. GENERAL: Wood Flooring. 900sqft. Air-conditioned/Heated. Bathroom, sink. Two 2”x4” tables, and one 6"x2.5" table, 10 cushioned chairs, 10 cushioned foldable chairs, and 2 tall stools. WiFi. Cleaning supplies. Tea and Coffee station. Bose sound system with two dual XLR/TRS inputs, aux and Bluetooth. Eight overhead LED Color changing flood lights controlled with a phone app over Bluetooth (link to the app: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/happylighting-life-with-smart/id1145694075). ?*After use, please unplug the main power sources so they are turned off after your time at the space. Please do not remove these lights, slight refocus adjustments are okay. Portable 6x6 feet wood floor for hard shoe practice. Skylights provide full natural light during the day. M Train runs above studio every 5-10min.
B. FOR EVENTS: When booking for an event you'll have access to our event cabinet, which contains: Samsung Monitor with HDMI & VGA & RCA hookup capability (cables not included), BENQ HD Projector [2200 ANSI LUMENS] HDMI & VGA & RCA hookup capability (only HDMI cable included) (Power cord is included), cables - 4 XLR cords, 2 patch cords, 1 mic, 2 mic stands available in the red locker.

Bookings will be made made online at https://thewoods.skedda.com. Payments are made online at time of booking in order to secure requested time slot. If you cannot pay online you will not be able to complete your booking *
You must submit this letter of agreement in order to self-book. After submitting, a Woods staff will manually create or enable your Skedda account to allow you to self book. Please allow 24 hours for this changes to be applied.

Cancellation: The Woods has a strict 7 DAY CANCELLATION POLICY. This means cancellations will be honored and a refund (minus a 4% credit card fee and 30 cents per booking) will be issued if you email us at thewoodsuniverse@gmail.com to cancel seven days prior to your booking. If you cancel your booking within 7 days or less of your reserved date you are still responsible for full payment of the time booked. Last minute bookings are non-refundable or exchangeable - last minute bookings are defined as bookings made within 7 days or less of the reserved rental.

I hereby release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue THE WOODS, its officers, agents and employees (hereinafter referred to as "releasees") from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or relating to any loss, damage or injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, or to any property belonging to me, except caused by the negligence or willful misconduct of the releasees, or the acts or omissions of any third party, or any force majuere event, while participating in the activities, or while in, on or upon the premises where the activities are being conducted, while in transit to or from the premises, or in any place or places connected with the activities. I am fully aware of risks and hazards connected with being on the premises and participating in the activities, and I am fully aware that there may be risks and hazards unknown to me connected with being on the premises and participating in the activities, and I hereby elect to voluntarily participate in the activities, to enter upon the above-named premises and engage in activities knowing that conditions may be hazardous, or may become hazardous or dangerous to me and my property. I voluntarily assume full responsibility for any risks of loss, property damage or personal injury, including death, that may be sustained by me, or any loss or damage to property owned by me, as a result of my being a participant in the activities, except caused by the negligence or willful misconduct of the releasees, or the acts or omissions of any third party, r any force majuere event.I further hereby agree to indemnify and save and hold harmless the releasees and each of them, from any loss, liability, damage or costs they may incur due to my participation in the activities, and use of THE WOODS, except caused by the negligence or willful misconduct of the releasees, or the acts or omissions of any third party, r any force majuere event,

The Woods strives to remain one of the most affordable rehearsal and performance spaces in NYC, and we want to be able to meet you where you are financially. For that reason we have created different price tiers.

We ask that you consider your membership as a way for The Woods to fill financial gaps, so, when choosing your price, think of any amount that you can give extra as a donation to help sustain the space.

If you're not ready to become a member yet, you can rent at our non-member rates and leave this empty.

Memberships are for the year starting September 3, 2024 through Sept 3, 2025. If you choose to begin a membership at a later date, it will still need to be renewed in September 2025. (We do not have the administrative capacity to track individual year periods for each member).

Community Price$35.00

Supported by your peers. Choose this tier if you are experiencing financial insecurity.

Supporter Price$50.00

Pays for you. Choose this tier if you are financially stable, but are living with a tight budget.

Sustainer price$75.00

Helps pay it forward. Choose this tier if your financial situation is more than stable, you have disposable income, and you can help support the space for others.

Choose this tier if your financial situation is more than stable, you have access to generational wealth or other socioeconomic privilege, and you would like to support the ability of The Woods to remain a resource for all for years to come.
