1. Location and term1.1. Location1.1.1 The Centre will operate its Little Athletics activities at Venue Address Suburb State Postcode ] .1.1.2. If the Centre wishes to operate at an alternative location, either temporarily or permanently, it must first attain LAQ’s approval to do so.

Benefits of Affiliation2.1. The Little Athletics family2.1.1. Support from LAQ staff in establishing, operating and growing the Centre;2.1.2. Use of the Little Athletics name, branding and reputation;2.1.3. Participation in LAQ events including carnivals, regional and state championships, and any other events as determined by LAQ;2.1.4. Due consideration of the Centre’s catchment area by LAQ prior to it affiliating any new Centres.2.2. Governance2.2.1. Use of LAQ’s template constitution for Centres;2.2.2. Use of LAQ’s policies for Centres;2.2.3. Centre representation at LAQ general meetings as per the LAQ Constitution.2.2.4. Centres can nominate members for election to the LAQ Board;2.2.5. Centres can propose motions at LAQ general meetings;2.2.6. Access to the National Insurance Program.2.3. Operations2.3.1. Use of the LAQ member registration system;2.3.2. Use of LAQ generated promotional materials (e.g. emails, webpage, social media);2.3.3. Access to LAQ staff and other Centre managers for advice and assistance;2.3.4. Education and accreditation of coaches, officials and volunteers.3. Centre obligations3.1. The Little Athletics Family3.1.1. To always act in a manner that enhances the reputation of Little Athletics;3.1.2. To always act responsibly and with proper regard to the health and safety of Centre members and third parties;3.1.3. To promote Little Athletics as the preferred athletics activity for athletes under 17 years of age;3.1.4. To comply with any marketing or sponsorship commitments made on behalf of the Centre by LAQ.3.2. Governance3.2.1. To be an Incorporated Association and to comply with any requirements prescribed in the Associations Incorporation Act (1981), or to be a Company Limited by Guarantee and to comply with the requirements of the Corporations Act (2001);3.2.2. To be bound and abide by, and implement all current LAQ policies and procedures as listed on LAQ’s website;3.2.3. To include in the Centre’s constitution Objects that align with those of LAQ;3.2.4. To attain LAQ’s approval prior to affiliating with any other organisation;3.2.5. To provide LAQ with notice of any changes to the Centre’s constitution.3.3. Operations3.3.1. To pay the annual Centre affiliation fee within 60 days of invoice.3.3.2. To pay any other payments to LAQ as per timeframes;3.3.3. To organise Little Athletics activities in accordance with any guidelines issued by LAQ;3.3.4. To ensure all Centre members are registered in the LAQ registration system;3.3.5. To nominate a 30 week period each year, during which a maximum of 26 weeks of competition will take place.3.3.6. To attain LAQ’s approval prior to making any changes to the colour or configuration of the Centre’s approved uniform;3.3.7. To provide any reports or other information to LAQ as may be reasonably requested from time to time.4. LAQ’s Obligations4.1. Centre support4.1.1. To provide support, training and resources to the Centre and their volunteers, for the purposes of establishing and operating a successful Little Athletics Centre;4.1.2. To maintain up-to-date policies, governance documents and a member registration system for use by the Centre;4.1.3. To organise competitions, championships and other events in which the Centre and its members may participate;4.1.4. To host an annual conference for all Centres and provide financial assistance to Centres located significant distances from the conference venue;4.1.5. To provide the Centre with regular updates of LAQ activities;4.1.6. To provide opportunities for the Centre to connect with other Centres and stakeholders for the benefit of Little Athletics;4.2. Governance4.2.1. To provide sound governance for the Centre;4.2.2. To comply with the requirements of all legislation that applies to the governance and operations of the Centre.5. Ending this agreement5.1. Mutual Agreement5.1.1. The parties can mutually agree to end this Agreement at any time.5.2. Termination5.2.1. LAQ may immediately terminate this agreement by written notice if:a. The Centre breaches any term of this Agreement where that breach is not capable of remedy within a reasonable time;b. The Centre acts in a way that may bring LAQ into disrepute;c. The Centre is unable to meet its financial commitments;d. The Centre is unable, or fails, to comply with the requirements of all legislation that applies to its governance or operations.5.3. At End of Agreement5.3.1. The Centre must return any equipment on loan from LAQ, LAQ printed materials or any other items branded with LAQ insignia to LAQ;5.3.2. The Centre shall immediately cease using the Little Athletics name, brand and imagery or portraying itself as part of LAQ.
