Full balance is due no later than August 15th. A late fee of $100 will be assessed if any payments are made after deadlines. Teams who miss the August 15th deadline are not considered fully registered until payment is received. We anticipate selling out this year so getting payments in on time is required if you want your team to participate.

Team Structure:

Each Team will consist of 22 members (20 paddlers, one drummer and one alternate). No more than 3 alternates will be allowed, making maximum team membership 24. All teams must have at least eight women paddling. An experienced Steersperson will be provided by the Dynamic Dragon Boat Racing LLC.

All participants of the Capital City Dragon Boat Race (CCDBR) must be 14 years of age or older.

Participants under 18 years of age MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian in order to paddle on a team.

Participants do not need to have any experience – just a willingness to work together, get a little wet, maybe a little sore from paddling and have a whole lot of fun!
The Team Captain will be responsible to all aspects of your teams participating in the CCDBR including:
- Completion of registration procedures.
- Timely payment of all registration fees (deposit by June 15th, 2025) and balance due no later than August 15th).
- Team members must make payment to the Team Captain (not the Women’s Center). The Team Captain will give the full payment to the Women’s Center of Greater Lansing.
- Submission of a team roster. Only team members listed on the roster will be allowed to paddle due to insurance liability.
- Submission of signed Capital City Dragon Boat Racing Athlete Waivers for all team members listed on the roster, signed by the individual or parent/guardian in the case of a minor.
- Communicate all information to team members.
- Attend all Captain’s Meetings.
Your Team must have an identifying TEAM NAME and T-SHIRT. All individuals on a team must wear the same team shirt. Team shirts should be the same color or pattern.

An individual paddler may only paddle for one team.

Teams may use their own tents (no larger than 10’x10’, weighted or staked) chairs and tables.

Grilling at Grand River Park is permitted in designated areas.

Alcohol is NOT permitted during the event.

The CCDBR is conducted under the rules of Dynamic Dragon Boat Racing LLC and the rules are outlined in the Dynamic Festival Manual available upon request and published on our website.
