Guidance for Your Scholarship Amount Request

We understand that seeking financial assistance for treatment can be challenging. Please know that we are honored to be a potential source of support to you on your healing journey.

Lit Path’s scholarships are made possible by the generosity of others who deeply care about making treatment accessible to you. Because our funds are limited, we aim to help as many individuals as possible.

A few things to keep in mind when requesting your scholarship amount:
- Scholarships are partial - Lit Path funds up to half of the total cost of the BAI Intensive. Recipients are also expected to contribute to their own recovery in whatever way they can as personal investment strengthens commitment and engagement in the healing process.
- Please request only what you truly need - We know this is a difficult ask, but every scholarship granted directly impacts another person’s ability to receive support. Thoughtfully considering your request helps ensure we can assist as many people as possible.
- If you do request half of the intensive cost, we kindly ask that you include further explanation in your application. Sharing more about your financial situation and your need for the full amount will help us better understand your circumstances and ensure we distribute funds as fairly as possible to those in greatest need.

Our scholarship is a PARTIAL scholarships. Applicants need to demonstrate financial need. 2 months of bank statements are requested as documentation.
Financial Need is demonstrated in the bank statements by less than a 15% margin each month. This is calculated as 1 - (expenses/income) = margin. For example if an individual's average income is $8000 a month and their average expenses are $5000 a month, Then their margin would be 1 - (5000/8000) = 37.5% and they would not meet the minimum requirement of a 15% margin. Please note, if there are transfers to and from other accounts in the statement provided, those statements will be requested as well.
