    This is a fun, choose-your-own-adventure day full of self-directed exploring of what the Banff townsite has to offer. In groups of 4 or larger, you’ll have the freedom to check out historic buildings and sites around town, gorgeous viewpoints like Bow Falls, a short hike like Tunnel Mountain, all the fun shops, and more! A map with suggested attractions will be provided to you. (No paid attractions are covered, so please bring cash if you intend to do any of those activities).

    This adventure is packed with stops at some of Banff’s most iconic Lakes: Moraine, Louise, and Minnewanka. You will have 1-1.5 hrs at each lake to see the sights, take pictures, and explore the lakeshores. Possible options of things to do at each lake include The Rockpile at Moraine, the Lakeshore Walk at Louise, and Stewart Canyon at Lake Minnewanka. This day can be as intense or chill as you want it to be.

    Come check out some of the infamous red chairs locations near Banff! This adventure will take you to 4 different viewpoints around the Town of Banff, 3 of which have the red chairs. Experience the beauty that each viewpoint has to offer before you get dropped off at the townsite for some free time. If you want a chill day but also see a bunch of different views, this is the adventure for you!

    Want something chill with waterfalls and the chance to see the Banff town site? Then this is your adventure! You’ll experience the famous Johnston Canyon, where you travel on a boardwalk over a canyon river to both the Upper and Lower Falls. You’ll also get some free time to explore the townsite and see what downtown Banff has to offer. This is one of the most popular hikes in Banff, so expect to see lots of people and crowds.

    Your day starts off with a beautiful scenic drive up the Icefield Parkway to the bright blue Peyto Lake. From the parking lot, you go on a short 1 km hike to its viewpoint. Following Peyto, you travel to Bow Lake, where you’ll have lunch, hike around the lake, pass by a gorgeous canyon with a river flowing through it, and come to the Bow Glacier Falls.

    This trail follows a 4 km paved path all the way to the Sundance Canyon, where you will be greeted with a 1 km unpaved loop with waterfalls, bridges, and a hike through the forest. Just before the Canyon, there are picnic tables for lunch and an outhouse. The trail is shared with cyclists and horses, so please be mindful of others. After the hike, you will be dropped off in the Banff townsite for some free time before busing back to Calgary for dinner.

    Starting at Lake Louise, this classic Banff hike takes you to Lake Agnes and the Lake Agnes Tea House. You’ll get to eat your lunch at Lake Agnes before continuing up to the Little Beehive, where you'll be able to look out at Lake Louise and the Bow Valley. If time permits, following your hike you’ll be able to spend some time down along the Lake Louise shoreline.

    Starting from the Moose Meadows parking lot, you will hike through a shaded forest until the trees open up to a beautiful mountain meadow surrounded by mountain peaks and the “Ink Pots”. These are cold water pools with a unique blue or green color due to the minerals in them. You’ll get to check out the pools (no swimming), eat lunch, and then hike out via Johnston Canyon, and check out both the Upper and Lower Falls on the way back to the bus which will meet you at the Johnston Canyon parking lot.

    Start the day off with a short jaunt up the rock pile at Moraine Lake for an iconic view of the lake. The Eiffel Ridge trail quickly leads you up some switchbacks into Larch Valley. From there, you cross a small creek and follow the spine of Mount Eiffel through larch trees until you emerge into the ridge, where you are greeted with stunning panoramic views of Mount Temple, Larch Valley, and the famous 10 Peaks.

    Generally considered a challenging route. The trail begins along the flat lakeshore path, then branches to the right and climbs along steep, long switchbacks through the stunning forest. The trail opens up once it passes the tree line, which allows for panoramic views of the famous 10 peaks. Packing an extra layer of clothing and a windbreaker is recommended, as it can get quite cold at the top. If time allows, you’ll enjoy the iconic view of Moraine Lake from the rockpile after the hike.
