We're glad you're here! Shannon Wagoner, an intern in the RIE Associate Pathway program and infant-toddler teacher at Our Neighborhood Child Development Center hosts parent-child guidance classes in and around Charlottesville, Virginia. These classes are open to caregivers (parents, aunts, grandpas, legal guardians, teen/adult siblings, etc) with their child.
By filling this form out and submitting payment, you are securing your space for the entirety of the cohort. Shannon will be in touch approximately two weeks before the start of the cohort with starting details and expectations.
Space is limited in each class to 8 infants or 6 toddlers per class. Sign up must happen in advance.
All playgroups are observation-based. In a safe and curated space with the young child in mind, children are given the space to play and move freely without interruptions while adults observe and relax. Sometimes there is space for quiet, meditative observation, while other times the adult discussion is more lively. Past participants in this class have described it as a great opportunity for relaxing and reflective quailty time with your infant, free of other distractions like pets, older siblings, and other household happenings. See how they play and learn, and connect with other adult caregivers like you!
