  • Pre-requisites for Video Submission

Our course is recognized by ACE (American Circus Educators), NASM (National Academy of Sports Medicine), & AFAA (Athletics and Fitness Association of America. To keep standards high, prioritize injury prevention, and avoid trainings where some folks need more skill instruction we require a video submission for eligibility. For safety, we do not accept submissions with apparatuses rigged to trees, or without a mat.

One of our priorities is that our Teacher Trainings are not personal skill-development, meaning we are not here to teach you skills (you can pay a lot less for that taking classes at your local studio!). We are here to teach you how to teach. Thus, if you don’t have a strong foundational knowledge/skill set and don’t know most of the skills, you’re going to have a difficult time and it could impact the group.

However, if you are not able to execute all the skills with proper form and ease, you are not automatically disqualified from participating. Please submit your video with as many of the skills as you can and our team will make individual decisions. If you are lacking knowledge on a specific apparatus (as our training is multi-apparatus) but have a strong overall foundation on your apparatus of strength, this will strongly be taken into consideration.

If your video submission is not accepted initially, we do provide detailed feedback and you are able to resubmit one time. If our team still feels you are not qualified you are welcome to apply in the future and will be given specific direction on improvement.

Your video does not need to be edited and different apparatuses can be separate videos, if this is easier for you. If you cannot demonstrate a specific skill due to injury, pregnancy, or other reason please email us for alternative options.
