  • Project 1: Rec Center at Dennis V. Allen Park

The City has approved a Mt. Hope Rec Center at Dennis V. Allen Park but has not funded the project.

  • Project 2: Mount Hope Walking Trail

The City will be replacing sewer lines south of I-94 by Home Avenue. While they are tearing up the ground, we would like them to build a trail that would connect Mt. Hope with the neighborhoods North of I-94.

  • Project 3: National Avenue Green Space & Flood Park

Land along National Avenue between I-15, and I-5 is currently used as a tow lot and junk yard, allowing pollution from the vehicles to run off into the Chollas Creek. Since 2015, there have been discussions about purchasing this land to turn it into a park. It could be purchased and designed as a park that helps decrease flooding.

  • Project 4: Greening Ocean View Boulevard

Ocean View Boulevard between 38th Street & 36th Street was recently repaved. We want the City to add trees, rain gardens, and permeable pavement wherever possible to this street. These will make our neighborhood more beautiful and help cool down the street, clean up air and water pollution, and help decrease future flooding.
