The MILVETS Educational Foundation is proud to offer scholarship opportunities two times a year in support of our Central Ohio military and veteran community.
In May during the Armed Forces Day Luncheon one $5,000 scholarship will be awarded to a SROTC Cadet (MS I or II) in honor of SFC (R) Ronald Rosser, Medal of Honor recipient from Ohio and a past member of MilVets. Additionally, one $5,000 scholarship will be awarded to a JROTC Cadet (Senior) in honor of John and Louise Spahia on behalf of Mary Spahia Carducci and Dr. Ernest Carducci. John Spahia was a Marine who fought during WW II on the islands of Saipan, Okinawa and in China. Also, two Q-FM 96 Red, White and Q Fund scholarships of $2,500 each are awarded to one deserving SROTC Cadet and one JROTC Cadet. JROTC (High School Seniors) candidates must be a US citizen and residents of Central Ohio, which includes Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Licking, Madison, Pickaway and Union Counties. SROTC (College Freshmen and Sophomores) candidates must be US citizens. Ohio non- residency is not required but candidates must be MS I or Il cadets attending any ROTC program at Ohio State University or Capital University.
For ROTC Commanders Ron Rosser received our nation's highest honor, the Medal of Honor, for his actions during the Korean War. The Ron Rosser Scholarship is given in his name to support Exceptional ROTC recipients in their educational goals. The ROTC student who receives this prestigious award exemplifies unwavering and relentless commitment to duty, honor and country through future military service, the pursuit of higher academic achievement, and dedication to improving our country as a future leader. If there are no applicants that fit all requirements for this award, none will be awarded. Commanding Officer and staff endorsements are highly encouraged. Requirements:

The recipients of these scholarships will be chosen from the applicants and endorsed as top performing cadet or midshipman by the ROTC/JROTC Commander. If there are no applicants that fit all requirements of this award, none will be awarded. Commanding Officer and staff endorsements are highly encouraged.
