  • Reserves:
    We have been hosting Texas Longhorn auctions for over 22 years, and have a passion for promoting and marketing Texas Longhorns. With that in mind, we prefer no reserves on consignments to the 2027 Fort Worth Stockyards Longhorn Auction, and that you trust us to market your animal for you. Along with that, we strongly discourage PO's. In our opinion, when an animal is PO'd it looks bad for both the consignor and sale host. We are confident in our ability to market your animal, gather as much of the Texas Longhorn industry as possible - in person and online - and have your animal bring what is she is worth at the Fort Worth Stockyards Longhorn Auction. 

     If you must put a reserve on your animal, the reserve price must be agreed upon by the sale host before the animal is accepted into the sale. Please contact Ryan Culpepper, Mike Willinger, or Bill Hudson for reserve price approval. If your animal is accepted with a reserve the reserve is not allowed to be increased. If the reserve price is not agreed upon the animal will not be accepted into the sale.

  • PO’s (Pass Outs): 

    If a consignment results in a PO because it does not meet the reserve price, the consignor will be charged an 8% Pass Out fee based on the last achieved bid. This fee must be paid at check-out of the sale to received load out documents. 

    Example: If the reserve price is $20,000 but the final bid is $18,000, the consignment will be PO'd and there will be a PO fee of $1,440

     

  • CONSENT INFORMATION
         The following consent information is an integral part of your consignment form and must be acknowledged in order to complete your consignment. Neither the Fort Worth Stockyards Longhorn Auction, River Ranch Stockyards nor Hudson Longhorn Sales assumes liability nor responsibility for any guarantee made by the consignor/owner.
        All guarantees pertaining to consignment animals are strictly between the consignor/owner and the buyer. Neither the Fort Worth Stockyards Longhorn Auction, River Ranch Stockyards nor Hudson Longhorn Sales are responsible for the health or safety of any animal consigned to the Fort Worth Stockyards Longhorn Auction. This includes loss of life, loss by theft, and or other perils.
         All consignors/owners must comply with all the rules and regulations of this event and fully understand the waiver-consent form and agree to the terms with your signature you hereby agree to the conditions of the event and agree that all guarantees are between the buyer and seller.
         You further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Fort Worth Stockyards Longhorn Auction, Hudson Longhorn Sales and dully authorize representatives and River Ranch Stockyards from any and all claims, demands, causes, actions or liabilities of any nature which may arise from or are in any way related to the Fort Worth Stockyards Longhorn Auction, Hudson Longhorn Sales and that if a buyer of a consigned animal is unable to accept delivery because of interstate health requirements, that neither the consignor nor the Fort Worth Stockyards Longhorn Auction, Hudson Longhorn Sales or it’s representatives shall be responsible for refund or adjustment.
