Talents are the abilities and interests you have been blessed with by God. Maybe you currently use them or maybe it has been a while since they have been recognized and used for others as God desires. Which talents do you possess that you would like to share with St. Cecilia and those we serve?
Accompanying

Ministries
Ministries are activities within the parish as well as those that serve the larger neighborhood and community. In 2025 and beyond we hope to grow this list as we discover new =ways to serve others. Adult Faith Formation - provide oversight for Bible Studies, Book Clubs, Small Groups and special programs to assist adults in growing as disciples of Christ

Altar Servers - young servers (Grade 5-8) assist at Holy Mass on weekends and holy days
I'd like to be involved
Altar Society - maintain the beauty of our Church through cleaning, maintaining plants, cleaning linens and vestments

Bereavement Ministry - provide programs, resources and opportunities for those who are grieving
I'd like to be involved
Boy Scouts of America - help shape the future leaders of our community by providing them with the skills, experiences, and values they need to succeed

Building & Grounds Committee - create and implement a plan for the maintenance and improvement of parish buildings and property
I'd like to be involved
Caring for Friends - originally known as "Aid for Friends" allows volunteers to make home cooked meals and place them in a freezer located at St. Cecilia and allows other volunteers to deliver meals to homebound elderly in the area.

Charismatic Prayer Group - the "People of Love" Prayer Group gathers Mondays at 7:15pm in Church to praise God through the gifts of the Holy Spirit and intercede for the needs of our parish.

Church Decorating Team - decorate the Church throughout the liturgical seasons

Collection Counters - assist in processing the Sunday Collection in accordance with established procedures

Communications - assist the Parish Staff and Organizations in creating and implementing a comprehensive plan to communicate matters of importance to the parish on a daily, weekly, monthly and yearly basis.

CYO (Coaches, Admin, Service) - provide a comprehensive experience for young athletes to learn sportsmanship and other essential virtues for living as a Christian

Eucharistic Ministry (Church) - assist in distributing the Holy Eucharist at an assigned Mass

Eucharistic Ministry (Homebound and Institutions) - bring the Holy Eucharist to homebound parishioners, nursing homes or hospitals

Finance Committee - assist the Pastor in creating a budget for the Parish and maintaining best practices in regard to finances

Funeral Altar Servers - adults who assist in serving at funerals
I'd like to be involved
Funeral Planning Team - meet and assist families in planning a funeral liturgy and be present to support the family at the funeral

Gardening Angels - care for the gardens throughout our campus

Greeters - welcome people to St. Cecilia at liturgies and events

Hospitality Sunday - provide “coffee and donuts” once a month on a Sunday

Music Ministry - provide praise to God through voice and instruments at Sunday Masses and liturgies throughout the year. There are opportunities with the Adult Choir, Children's Choir, The Ensemble (Contemporary Music) and through varied instruments.

O.C.I.A. - The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults help men and women seeking to become Catholic Christians; there are various roles meant to help these new members embrace and live the beauty of our faith.

Parish Event Planners - envision, plan and execute events for the entire parish to grow in fellowship with one another

Pastoral Council (Next Gen Team) - create and implement the Parish Pastoral Plan

Senior Citizens Gathering - Our beloved elders gather on Thursday from 10am to Noon (September to May) in our Auditorium for fellowship, enriching conversation and games (food is served as well).
