    2026-2027 Youth Initiative Application
  • Hello!

Thank you for your interest. Savannah Alumnae Chapter Youth Initiative Programs include Delta Academy, Delta GEMS and EMBODI. These programs are designed to target youth in our service area (Chatham, Bryan, and Effingham Counties).

Aligned with the Sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust, the programs aim to provide opportunities for young women and men of great promise who might otherwise be excluded because they lack support, resources, and encouragement. Through a holistic approach, these initiatives empower youth to grow academically, socially, and emotionally, preparing them to become confident, engaged leaders in their communities.

The program fosters confidence, goal setting, and community engagement by providing tools for success, encouraging compassionate service, and inspiring girls to plan for high school and beyond.

     DELTA GEMS

Delta GEMS (Growing & Empowering Myself Successfully) inspires at-risk African American girls ages 14–18 to excel academically, develop leadership skills, and prepare for college and careers. Through goal setting, service learning, and self-reflection, the program builds a “can do” attitude while empowering young women to become compassionate, confident, and community-minded leaders.
