    Q: What is "Maniacs 18U"?
    A: Maniacs 18U is a non-profit, volunteer sports organization in the United States. This is competitive softball composed of a select team of girls chosen to represent the Maniacs Baseball & Softball Club. We pride ourselves in a long rich history of competitive softball, where player development is our primary goal.

    Q: When does the Season Start?
    A: The Maniacs 18U season usually runs from mid August to the end of December for the 2025 Fall Season, and end of May to the beginning of August for the 2026 Summer Season. Practices usually occur weeknights and weekends at varying softball fields locally. 

    Q: Is there traveling involved?
    A: Yes. Most of our tournaments are within Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. There will be an emphasis on tournaments within the Northwest that includes camps and showcases for college recruiting purposes. 

    Q: Does this interfere with other sports like basketball and volleyball?
    A: Coaches try to accommodate all schedules to the best of their abilities. We also try to have our season end prior to most other sports starting to avoid conflict as best as possible. We are aware that winter sports may interfere with our softball schedule, but we do ask to make certain accomodations to withhold your commitment to Maniacs 18U. Most highschool games are played during the week, while our tournaments are held on the weekends. Please plan accordingly. 

    Q: How much does it cost?
    A: You can estimate cost to be between $2500-3000. The cost per player covers membership fees (to include USA Register Softball, Premier Girls Fastpitch, Triple Crown Fastpitch, and Alliance), tournament fees, cost of uniforms, and coaches travel fees. Coaches are volunteers and are not paid. Once coaches have selected tournaments and teams have been made we will have a better idea of actual cost. We do accept payment plans to help with the fees, as well as offer fundraising and sponsorship opportunities to help offset the costs of player dues. More information will be provided at our first team meeting with players and families. 

    Q: At what grade levels will you have teams?
    A: This season we are seeking 2026-2028 graduate years.
