Communication with your doctor

At ‘Imi Ola Health and Wellness Clinic we have made it easy to connect with your doctor and we wish to establish a clear policy regarding patient-physician communication.
Please understand that your doctor will not be available during times she is seeing other patients or after hours. If you call after hours, you may leave a message, but calling during business hours is preferred. Phone calls without a message will not be responded to. You will receive a response to phone calls and Office Alley messages within two business days. Initial:
Phone calls: Anytime you are given medical advice, a prescription for a medication or a referral over the phone by your doctor, the insurance company requires that we document this interaction. We make this documentation by creating a telephone visit and submitting it to your insurance company. If your insurance carrier does not cover this service, you may be billed $65 for 5 -15 MINUTES If your plan does not cover telephone visits, then you may wish to schedule a video visit or in person visit for your questions. Missed Appointment Policy
A missed appointment is defined as not attending your scheduled appointment without advanced notification to your doctor. Appointments that are included in this definition are in-office visits, telehealth visits (video visits), or telephone visits. You may notify your doctor that you will be unable to meet at the scheduled time either via a phone call or an email message through Office Ally portal. Initial
Our office allows for three missed appointments. At the time of the third missed appointment you will be sent a letter that formally documents the end of your care with Imi Ola Health and Wellness Clinic. Initial
In addition to the above policy, ‘Imi Ola Health & Wellness Clinic will bill $50 for each missed appointment, including New Patient appointments. You may also be charged $50 for any cancellations that are within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment. Initial
Prescription Refills – Refill requests are not covered by insurance. The request will be processed after payment of $65 for the processing. We try to process your refill requests withing 48 hours but the pharmacy you chose determines when it can be dispensed. Initial
