All paperwork needs to be completed prior to bringing items to the Woman’s Exchange for consignment.
The parties mutually agree as follows:
This agreement is made and entered into by and between the Consignor and Woman's Exchange of Memphis (the WE) whereby the Consignor agrees to deliver and the WE agrees to receive on consignment all items which are determined by the WE to be acceptable to be sold during the event dates advertised for the 2024 WE Christmas Shop.
- Consignor agrees to pay a $20 consignment fee at the front desk prior to your appointment. Ask for two receipts, as one will be required at check in.
- The sales split is 70% paid to the consignor and 30% retained by the Woman’s Exchange.
- Sales of consigned items must be made exclusively through the WE for the duration of the event. Items may not be removed by consignor during the event.
- Pricing of consigned items will be by mutual agreement between the Consignor and the WE. The WE has the right to refuse consignment of any item at any time for any reason including style, quality, or condition of the item, such as: chipped, broken, cracked, dirty or damaged.
- Payment for items sold are issued by the 10th of the following month. All vendors are encouraged to opt-in for direct deposit (forms provided). For those that prefer a check, final checks will be mailed within 30 days after the event closes.
- Consignor is an “independent contractor” and is responsible for all tax payments due on consignor commissions. (Complete the IRS Form W9 using the W9 link provided so we have the information needed to pay you.) The form will be retained confidentially.
- Consignor agrees to allow the WE full permission to display items in all marketing efforts, including but not limited to: weofmemphis.org, emails, social media platforms, press releases, tv, radio, and other media sources without restriction.
Unsold items must be picked up January 6 – 7, 10am – 3pm. No appointment is necessary. We will consider any items left after the pick-up dates as donations to the WE.
DISCLAIMER: The Woman’s Exchange Christmas Shop will take every precaution to safeguard your items and acts only as an agent for the consignor. We will not be held responsible for accidental damage or theft or loss. Loss includes, but is not limited to, any breakage or damage to items and/or loss due to fraudulent transactions or shoplifting. Insurance is the responsibility of the Consignor.
