    It takes over 200 volunteers to make this event a success. There are opportunities for set up, the day of the event, and clean up. All positions are for individuals 18+ years old. Please be mindful as some positions are more labor-intensive than others.

    Name, email and phone are required - confirmation and volunteer instructions will be sent to the email provided. If you are signing up multiple people, make sure to use their contact information.

    Event Set Up

  • Set Up - Monday, October 7

    Responsible for setting up racks and tables, unpacking and sorting items, and contacting attendees via phone/text to remind them of their registration.

  • Wednesday, October 9, 2024

    Day of Event - Times include initial 15 minutes of training. (You can select additional time slots as you will only train once)

  • Check In Table - Wednesday, October 9

    Responsible for greeting individuals and families, verifying registrations, and assisting those non-registered. *Bilingual (English/Spanish) individuals are encouraged to sign up for this position.

  • Spanish Translator - Wednesday, October 9

    Responsible for assisting families with the pick-up process by providing clear communication in Spanish. Help ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for non-English speaking families.

  • Shopper - Wednesday, October 9

    Responsible for assisting individuals and families find items, correctly recording items given, and clearly communicating to other volunteers.

  • Check Out Table - Wednesday, October 9

    Responsible for correctly packing items.

  • Fillers - Wednesday, October 9

    Responsible for maintaining order and supply of items, processing day-of donations, and handling misc. needs.

  • Exit Podium - Wednesday, October 9

    Responsible for maintaining the safe flow of traffic out the back door. *This is appropriate for someone who wants a seated/low-impact position.

  • Outside Table - Wednesday, October 9

    Responsible for maintaining order and supply of outside items and assisting shoppers as needed.

  • Clean Up - Wednesday, October 9

    Responsible for starting to inventory/pack/label items, take down/pack supplies and signs, and any other duties needed.

    Responsible for hauling totes and racks, breaking down and putting away tables and chairs, inventorying/packing/labeling items, any cleanup needed such as vacuuming, taking down/packing supplies, and signs, and any other duties needed.
