  • Below is a brief description of each gift. More importantly, while distinguishing between skills and spiritual gifts, it is important to keep three things in mind:

    1. Every Christian has a spiritual gift (1 Peter 4:10).
    2. Spiritual gifts build up the church (1 Corinthians 14:12).
    3. Spiritual gifts should be accompanied with humility (1 Corinthians 14:30).

    List Spiritual Gifts used in this Workshop

    Administration: A profound ability to be organized and see patterns

    Creative Expression: Able to communicate the Gospel through various media

    Discernment: Decision making that doesn’t always seem apparent

    Exhortation: Passionately urging people to live in grace

    Evangelism: Telling others about Jesus

    Faith: Steadfast obedience to God no matter the circumstances

    Generosity: Stewarding God’s money well

    Healing: God’s frequent healing of those you pray for

    Hospitality: Helping people feel welcome and connected

    Intercession: Bringing others to God in prayer

    Leadership: Encouraging the community in its responsible service to God

    Miracles: Explosions of God’s Kingdom

    Music: There are innumerable ways to use this gift for the glory of God

    Pastoral Care: Being present with those in pain

    Prophecy: Speaking a specific message of God to the church

    Service: Serving others in practical ways

    Teaching: Leading others in reading the Bible and living the christian life

    Tongues: Languages which aren’t your own

    Interpretation: Languages which aren’t your own

    Words of Knowledge: Words from God to speak or silently pray
