HOLIDAY CLOSURE - SERVICE IMPACT
The Office of Convocation will be closed for the Seasonal Holidays from December 24, 2024 to January 6, 2025. The last day to order a Certification of Degree to ensure processing before this closure is December 18, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. (noon). Anything ordered after this date will be processed in January. Please note that the 15-20 business day processing time will exclude the time the office is closed.
The Certification of Degree is only available to those who have had their degree conferred. If you are graduating in the next convocation season, you may still order a Certification of Degree, however it will not be processed until after your convocation ceremony.
If your degree has not yet been conferred, you may request a letter confirming that you have met the requirements to graduate from the Registrar’s Office in your division.

Statement of Obligation
In accordance with the University of Toronto’s policy on student indebtedness, Certification of Degree documents will not be released for students/alumni with outstanding financial obligations to the University. Students with a financial or administrative hold placed on their record can submit their request, however orders will not be processed until the hold is cleared and removed from the record. For information on how to clear your financial hold on your account please contact the department/division that placed the hold. If the hold was placed by the office of Student Accounts you can contact them at 416-978-2142. If you have outstanding library fines you can pay your fines online on the Library website at https://payfines.library.utoronto.ca/, by using the First Stop Telephone Service at 416-978-8450, or in person at Robarts Library.
By making a Certification of Degree purchase you confirm that you acknowledge the above statement of obligation.
If you need a Certification of Degree for more than one degree, you will need to complete an order form and transaction for each degree. Please indicate in the Special Instructions if you are placing multiple orders for the purpose of shipping consolidation.
Note: Courier services will not deliver to P.O. Boxes. Please include a full street name and number.
Certification of Degree documents will be held in the Office of Convocation for 60 days from the date it is available. You will receive notification via the method you have selected (phone or email).
If the document is not picked up within this time frame, it will be destroyed. No refunds will be issued.
