Summer Scholarship PROGRAM

Dear Applicant,

 

The Wisconsin Club Managers Foundation (WCMF) is pleased to announce the opening of our 2024 Summer Scholarship Program.  As the educational and philanthropic arm of the Wisconsin Badger Chapter of the Club Management Association of America (CMAA), our mission is to foster the study of the private club industry and promote a closer affiliation between future hospitality leaders and professionals working in the field.

 

In line with this vision, we are offering two scholarships, each worth $1,500, to deserving individuals who are dedicated to pursuing managerial careers within the private club industry.

To be eligible, candidates must provide strong evidence of their commitment to the industry by having worked at a private club in Wisconsin during the 2024 summer season. Timeline:

Now:         Begin the application process, collect one recommendation 

August 5:  Deadline for application submission and recommendation forms

August 9:  Scholarship Committee Review Date

August 13:  Scholarship Winners Notified

 

Read and follow the instructions carefully before submitting your application. All winners will be notified on or before the 13th of August 2023.  

Students: If selected you will be required to submit your student ID, funds will be sent directly to the financial aid office.

Full-Time Interns:  If selected you will be required to submit invoices for eligible CMAA events and/or membership which will be reimbursed to your club.

 

Please write a brief essay OR submit a video telling us:

• In an essay of 500 words or less, please describe your passion for the private club industry and explain why you are interested in pursuing a career in this field. Additionally, discuss any experiences or insights you have gained that have solidified your commitment to a managerial role within the private club industry.
