1. Purpose of Agreement:
The Participant desires to participate in a ride-along with SouthBridge EMS for the purpose of observing and experiencing the activities and responsibilities of emergency medical services.
2. Assumption of Risk:
The Participant acknowledges and understands that participating in a ride-along involves inherent risks and dangers associated with emergency medical services. The Participant voluntarily assumes all risks related to the ride-along, including but not limited to those arising from the operation of emergency vehicles, exposure to hazardous conditions, and potential injury.
3. Release and Waiver:
In consideration for being permitted to participate in the ride-along, the Participant hereby releases, discharges, and holds harmless SouthBridge EMS, its officers, employees, agents, and volunteers from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action, whether at law or in equity, arising out of any bodily injury, property damage, or other harm that may occur to the Participant during or as a result of the ride-along.
4. Indemnification:
The Participant agrees to indemnify and hold SouthBridge EMS harmless from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorney fees, arising out of or in connection with the Participant's participation in the ride-along.
5. Emergency Medical Treatment:
In the event of any injury or illness suffered by the Participant during the ride-along, the Participant authorizes South Bridge EMS to seek and consent to emergency medical treatment on their behalf.
6. Confidentiality:
The Participant agrees to maintain the confidentiality of any sensitive or proprietary information obtained during the ride-along and agrees not to disclose such information to third parties.
7. Governing Law:
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Pennsylvania, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
8. Entire Agreement:
This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the Participant and SouthBridge EMS and supersedes all prior discussions, negotiations, and agreements, whether oral or written, relating to the subject matter hereof.
