Dear LMSA leader,

Thank you for your interest in serving with the LMSA National committees. As a committee member, you will work with your respective LMSA National chair to create impactful programming, contribute to business decisions, and craft our multimodal organizational messaging for medical students across the country.

This form will ask you for the following:

• Name, Email, and Institution
• Questions asked of all leadership candidates
• Questions asked by specific committees
• Resume/CV (upload as DOCX or PDF)
• Headshot (upload as image file)
• Names & Emails of a Student Reference and a Faculty/Staff/School Reference

If you are interested in multiple committees, please check the boxes for all the positions you are interested in.

• If not otherwise listed elsewhere in your educational CV/Resume, consider adding committee-specific section(s) such as "Policy Experience", "Public Relations Experience", etc. below the education section of your CV which discusses any specific examples of experiences and skills you have gathered which demonstrate your strengths for a specific committee

LMSA Policy Committee Task Forces

The LMSA Policy Committee also has three specialized task forces, each focused on key areas of healthcare policy. As an applicant, you have the opportunity to express your interest in leading one of these task forces.

Protecting Diversity in Medicine Task Force

Promote and safeguard diversity in medicine by advocating for supportive policies, increasing diversity in medical schools, and addressing systemic barriers.

Responsibilities:

• Advocate for diversity and inclusion in medical education and practice.
• Develop programs supporting underrepresented medical students and professionals.
• Address systemic barriers to diversity in the medical field.

Reproductive Health Justice & Abortion Access Task Force

Advocate for reproductive rights and access to comprehensive health services, including abortion, through supportive policies, educational campaigns, and collaborations.

Responsibilities:

• Advocate for reproductive health access and rights.
• Organize educational campaigns on reproductive justice and abortion access.
• Collaborate with organizations supporting reproductive rights.

Improving Migrant Health Care Task Force

Address healthcare needs of migrant populations by advocating for better access, developing outreach programs, and ensuring culturally competent care.

Responsibilities:

• Advocate for improved healthcare access and equity for migrants.
• Develop outreach programs for migrant communities.
• Promote culturally competent care and address health disparities.
