Thank you for your interest in the Migrant Education Program.
If you have reviewed the eligibility information on the ASD Migrant Education website and would like to begin a new enrollment, please complete and submit this form. You will be asked to provide details about your family's qualifying fishing and berry picking activities. Please be prepared to include the exact dates and locations of all qualifying trips made in the previous year.
To qualify, the moves must be across school district boundaries and the fishing/agricultural work must be due to economic necessity, meaning there is financial need that required the migratory parent/guardian and children to temporarily relocate in order to engage in this work. Thus, you will also be asked to provide a statement how the income, catch, or harvest is relied upon to help your family economically. All information provided is confidential and used only for the purpose of determining Migrant Education Program eligibility.
Upon submission of the information, a Migrant Education recruiter will contact you to review the information and if requirements are met, complete a Certificate of Eligibility. Final eligibility determination is made by the State of Alaska's Migrant Education Office.
