VENDING REQUIREMENTS & GUIDELINES
Food Preparation Rules:
If you are cooking and preparing everything onsite at the festival, you do not need to be a registered cottage food business or use a commercial kitchen.
However, if any part of your food or beverage is prepared at home or offsite, you must either:
Be a registered cottage food business, OR
Prepare food in a certified commercial kitchen (must have proper licensing).
Vending Setup:
Vendors are responsible for bringing their own setup, including:
Tent
Table
Chairs
Power source (if needed)
Open Flame/Propane Use:
If you’re using open flames or propane, you are required to obtain an Open Flame Permit from DC Fire & EMS.
-The permit costs $100
We can assist you in obtaining it.
Space & Category Reservation:
Your space will be held until your vendor category is full. Once that category is fully reserved, no additional spots will be accepted.
Tasting Requirement:
All food and beverage vendors must offer at least one tasting item priced under $10.
Attendees are coming to taste—make sure they can sample your offerings!
