  • The event:

    Dining Out For Life International (DOFL) is an annual fundraising event involving the generous participation of restaurants on a national scale to raise funds for AIDS services organizations across the United States and Canada. In New Jersey, the DOFL event benefits a local non-profit, EDGE NJ, and all proceeds raised will go towards our mission to respond compassionately and responsibly to the needs of people living with HIV, those at risk, and the LGBTQ+ communities. We ask that each restaurant that participates donates a percentage of their proceeds on Tuesday 10/1 in return for a year long partnership with EDGE NJ.

  • How does it work?

    Participating restaurants contribute 10% to 100% of their gross food, beverage, and/or liquor sales on October 1st, 2024, to support EDGE New Jersey.

  • Why participate?

    It’s great for business! DOFL is an opportunity to introduce new patrons to your restaurant who may become return customers. Your restaurant will be seen as philanthropic for supporting the HIV+ and LGBTQ+ communities. This event is produced to support the mission of EDGE NJ to provide compassionate care and social services to the HIV+ and LGBTQ+ communities. DOFL . Further, EDGE NJ will promote your business and will frequently patron your business all year round.

  • Benefits of becoming a partnered DOFL Eatery 

    Year-round partnership With EDGE NJ: We will use your restaurant for meeting, events, and catering regularly throughout the year.
    Year-round advertisement: Your restaurant will be added to the DOFL International website reacing a global audience
    Reach new customers: We will add your restaurant logo on our flyers around the local community advertise the event.
    Get a personalized social media advertisement: We will advertise your restaurant on our agency's Instagram and Facebook accounts.
    There are no front-up costs to being a partnered eatery. You only need to agree to donate a percentage of that day's proceeds to EDGE NJ.

    Contribution Levels

    • Foodie 10-32% (For First Year Participants Only)
      • EDGE NJ will utilize your restaurant for meetings, events, or catering a minimum of 2 additional times this year. 
      • Included on our preferred catering list that is shared regularly with agency sponsors and partners. 
      • Yearlong listing on the DOFL NJ and DOFL International websites with hyperlink to your restaurant.
      • Advertising space in 1 Agency Newsletter
      • Logo placement on event print/digital materials
      • Restaurant mentioned in all applicable PR materials
      • One-time welcome announcement social media ad across all EDGE NJ social media accounts
      • Provided a participating restaurant window decal

    • Gourmet 33-49%
      • EDGE NJ will utilize your restaurant for meetings, events, or catering a minimum of 4 additional times this year.
      • Included on our preferred catering list that is shared regularly with agency sponsors and partners.
      • Yearlong listing on the DOFL NJ and DOFL International websites with hyperlink to your restaurant.
      • Advertising space in 2 Agency Newsletters
      • Logo placement on event print/digital materials
      • Restaurant mentioned in all applicable PR materials
      • Annual social media ad across all EDGE NJ social media accounts
      • Provided a participating restaurant window decal
      • Recognized as an Community Partner on our website and in our Annual Report.

    • Epicurean 50% - 100%
      • EDGE NJ will utilize your restaurant for meetings, events, or catering a minimum of 6 additional times this year.
      • Included on our preferred catering list that is shared regularly with agency sponsors and partners.
      • Yearlong listing on the DOFL NJ and DOFL International websites with hyperlink to your restaurant.
      • Advertising space in 4 Agency Newsletters
      • Premier logo placement on event print/digital materials
      • Restaurant mentioned in all applicable PR materials
      • Quarterly social media ad across all EDGE NJ social media accounts
      • Provided a participating restaurant window decal
      • Recognized as an Community Partner on our website and in our Annual Report.
      • Selected as a location for a Morris County Pride After Party and recognized on 6/28/25 by an announcement on the Pride Stage. 

  • AS A PARTICIPANT IN DINING OUT FOR
    LIFE NEW JERSEY, THIS RESTAURANT
    AGREES TO THE FOLLOWING:

    • Make the contribution indicated below to EDGE NJ:
           Epicurean: 50% to 100% of gross sales.
           Gourmet: 33-49% of gross sales
           Foodie: 10-32% of gross sales
      —All contributions will be GROSS proceeds of food,
      beverages, and alcohol (if served) during the hours of
      operation of your restaurant on Tuesday, October 1, 2024
    • Promote DOFL NJ by displaying at least 1 DOFL poster and all
      DOFL table tents during the event.
    • Permit an Ambassador from EDGE NJ to be present at your
      restaurant during the event to thank guests, share
      information, answer questions, accept any additional donations,
      distribute and collect donation envelopes.
    • Permit EDGE New Jersey to use, without cost or charge to
      EDGE, your restaurant’s name in materials promoting DOFL NJ
      and provide a high-resolution logo.
    • Deliver contribution check (payable to EDGE NJ) to DOFL
      NJ Coordinator NO LATER than October 22, 2024.
    • Sign and send this contract to the DOFL NJ Coordinator NO
      LATER than September 16, 2024, to ensure our restaurant will
      be included on select print materials.
