The course will include a lecture and workshop for DVMs to equip you with tools and verbiage to help navigate challenging discussions we have in the exam rooms with clients.
The topics covered:
- Difficult conversations with clients (end of life, quality of life, cancer, etc)
- Explaining Diagnostics and how to get the client's buy-in
- When to refer a client and what to do before referring
- How to explain things in simple terms (most common afflictions in GP)
- How to talk to the client about the cost of treatment to prevent sticker shock (set your csr up for success)
- Role Play scenarios
