MEDIA CONSENT: I give permission for Kristy Music Studios to use photos, videos, and/or written interviews of me/my child for promotional or advertising purposes, included on the studio's website, social media, or printed materials. I understand that my child's first name and age may be used. No last names or sensitive personal information will be shared. Content will focus on music education and studio participation. I may revoke permission at any time in writing for future use.

At Kristy Music Studios, we understand that unexpected situations arise. These policies help us provide consistent instruction while maintaining a fair schedule for all students.

1. TUITION & WITHDRAWAL:
- All lessons are paid in advance.
- Teacher Flex Weeks:
  - The annual lesson calendar includes 32 scheduled lesson weeks; however, tuition is based on 31 lessons.
  - ONE Teacher Flex Week is built into the annual calendar and may be used to accommodate teacher absences as needed throughout the school year.
  - If Teacher Flex Weeks are not needed for teacher cancellations during the school year, families may be offered the option to purchase an additional lesson at the end of the spring semester at the current lesson rate.
  - The additional lesson is optional, subject to instructor availability, and is not included in annual tuition.
- Monthly Membership Tuition: (due the 1st of each month)
  - Students may discontinue lessons at any time.
  - Tuition is non-refundable for the current month.
  - After a written termination request, monthly drafts will stop for the following month.
- Cash-in-Full Tuition: (due Sept. 15th and Jan. 15th)
  - Tuition is discounted in exchange for a semester commitment.
  - Tuition is non-refundable after payment.
  - After a written termination request, lesson credits may be used for scheduled lessons, online or asynchronous lessons, or donated to the KMS scholarship fund.
2. MISSED LESSONS:
- Cancellations or missed lessons with less than 24-hour notice are not eligible for a reschedule or credit.
- ONE Excused Emergency Absense (the within 24-hour window) may qualify for an emergency reschedule.
3. STUDENT RESCHEDULE OPTIONS:
- Standard Reschedules:
  - Maximum of TWO per semester.
  - Absentee Request Form must be submitted at least 24hrs BEFORE the lesson.
  - Lessons with less than 24 hours notice are NOT ELIGIBLE for a reschedule or credit.
- Additional Emergency Reschedule:
  - Maximum of ONE per semester* (*in addition to the TWO standard reschedules).
  - Absentee Request Form must be submitted within 2 weeks of the missed lesson date.
  - Excused Emergencies include: illness, severe weather, vehicle breakdown, or family emergency.
- Additional Reschedules:
  - Additional absences may be accommodated through:
    
    ONLINE LESSONS: Conducted DURING the student's regularly scheduled lesson time.
    
    ASYNCHRONOUS LESSONS: students receive an online assignment, submit requested videos, and receive personalized feedback throughout the week.
    
    Students may schedule an unlimited amount of these lessons, when appropriate.
- ALL reschedule requests are not guaranteed and are subject to instructor availability (which may include a different instructor).
4. TEACHER ABSENCES:
- If a teacher must cancel, students will be offered:
  - A Teacher Flex week to cover the absence (1 built into the calendar)
  - A Rescheduled Lesson (not deducting from the standard maximum of TWO reschedules).
  - An Online Lesson
  - An Asynchronous Lesson
  - Tuition Credit (only when necessary)
5. SCHOLARSHIP FUND OPTION:
- Students may choose to donate a cancelled lesson to the KMS Scholarship Fund.
  - Scholarship funds help provide music education opportunities for students in need.
  - KMS has actively supported students in the Chattanooga community through this program since 2020.
- UNUSED LESSON CREDITS:
  - Any UNUSED lesson credits remaining after May 14th, 2027 will be automatically DONATED to the Scholarship Fund.
