The Petals & Stars nonprofit is hosting its inaugural Pup Tank pitch competition for children ages 16 and younger on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the Hilton Garden Inn, 1575 Fording Island Road, Hilton Head Island, SC. The registration fee is $99 per participating "small" business (No combined "small" businesses or more than three (3) participants per "small" business are allowed.)
The fee includes workshops, info sessions, and webinars leading up to and on the day of the event. Expect each in-person or online meeting to be 30-45 minutes with the goal of helping "small" business stars gain valuable information they can use in their entrepreneurial pursuits. Please note that facilitators will not offer specific advice or guidance but will present materials and give details related to session topics.
Paid registrants also receive one booth space at the adjoining Petals & Stars Holiday Bazaar market to be held inside The Bridge Event Venue, 1541 Fording Island Road, within walking distance of the hotel. You MUST complete a separate application to be a vendor at this market. Unfortunately, "small" businesses that require special permits or licenses from the South Carolina Health and Environmental Control or USDA will NOT be allowed to sell at the market.
Please note that once registered, participants MUST attend at least two online or in-person sessions to compete in the in-person competition for the $1,500 grand prize. Business professionals, government personnel, and other business leaders will facilitate sessions. The schedule for the online sessions will be sent out in October, posted on social media platforms, and delivered via email.
The registration fee must be paid using only these digital payment methods: credit card, Venmo, PayPal, or Zelle.
Visitors traveling to the area for this event can, based on availability, receive discounted hotel room rates at the Hilton Garden Inn. The promo code will be emailed upon receipt of the registration fee.
There is limited space, so please register early to reserve your Pup Tank spot. The registration deadline is October 14, 2024. Upon completing your registration, you will receive an email confirmation and regular updates regarding the event, including session dates and times.
