If your background check is approved, you’ll receive a follow-up email with the final two onboarding steps: 1) Watch two short safety training videos 2)Sign an electronic volunteer agreement. By signing below, you consent to a background check conducted by Whiz Kids staff as part of our commitment and responsibility to student safety. This background check will include a review of local, state, and federal records.
Optional Opportunity to Support Whiz Kids | As part of our volunteer onboarding process—and in alignment with our safety and compliance standards—all Whiz Kids volunteers are required to complete a background check every three years. The cost for this process is $54.00. We kindly ask each volunteer to consider contributing toward the cost, if they are able. With nearly 1,000 volunteers across our program, background checks are one of our largest operational expenses. Any amount you can give helps offset this cost and allows us to invest even more directly into the lives of the students we serve.
