Cosplay Contest Rules-
Contestant Requirements:
- All entrants must ensure that at least 70% of their costume is made by them. The costume should be a result of personal craftsmanship, including but not limited to sewing, painting, sculpting, and other crafting techniques.
- Each contestant must submit Work-in-Progress (WIP) photos and reference photos of their costume. These photos are necessary for verification of the craftsmanship and adherence to the 70% rule.
WIP Photos:
- Contestants must include a minimum of three WIP photos showing different stages of the costume's construction. These photos should clearly display the work done by the contestant.
Reference Photos:
- Contestants must provide at least one reference photo of the character they are cosplaying. This photo should be a clear, high-quality image that illustrates the original design and details of the character’s costume.
Submission Process:
- All entries must be submitted through the official contest entry form, which includes sections for uploading WIP photos, reference photos, and a brief description of the costume.
Deadline:
- The deadline for online entries is October 5th, 2024. Walk in submissions will be welcome.
Sportsmanship and Integrity:
- By entering the contest, contestants agree to uphold the highest standards of sportsmanship. This includes respecting fellow contestants, judges, and the contest organizers.
- Contestants affirm that their costume is crafted by them and meets the 70% self-made requirement. Any form of dishonesty or misrepresentation is grounds for disqualification.
Judging Criteria:
- The judges will evaluate the costume based on the quality of craftsmanship, including accuracy, creativity, and attention to detail.
Adherence to Theme:
- Costumes must be faithful to the character's design as depicted in the reference photos provided.
Presentation:
- Contestants should present their costume in a manner that highlights its features and demonstrates their effort and skill.
Awards:
- Winners will be announced and awarded based on the judging criteria.
- 1st place will be awarded a cash prize of $150 and a badge for the next year.
- 2nd place will receive a cash prize of $75 and badge for the next year.
- 3rd place will receive a cash prize of $25 and a badge for the next year.
