Any young person over 16 years old can apply to become a Youngster. Candidates go through our recruitment process that is based on the role requirements. If they are successful they receive a paid role. For many, this is their first professional job.
If a young person wishes to become a Youngster, but lacks particular skills required for the role, they can be referred to our Employment Skills Program as an alternative to general recruitment.
In this program, participants develop a personalized training plan targeting the skills they need. They receive one-on-one training to build these skills, progressing from individual sessions with their trainer, to on-the-job training with real customers.
Upon completing the program, participants have the opportunity to become a Youngster with a paid role.
