    This form is to identify your competency level from the activities in the Accountabilities & Responsibilities document. We have identified that there are 5 levels of competency, as shown below.
    Please score yourself honestly at the current level you feel you are at.
    This will aid us identify what future support you may need on certain task or activities. If you need further assistance with this document, such as understanding the levels of competency or filling out the form, please let us know.

    5 levels of competence 

    0 – No competence, have not started training, have no experience of the task or activity. 

    1 (25%) – In training, have started the training for the task or activity. 

    2 (50%) – Have completed the training and are aware of the process and can carry out the task or activity but with support 

    3 (75%) – Can carry out the task or activity to the required standard without support. 

    4 (100%)– Can carry out the task to the required standard without support and can support and train others in this specific task. 
     

  • Absence Management

  • Activity Assessment Criteria
    Manages unauthorised absence Shows evidence of managing unauthorised absence and understands the reasons why this is important.

    Manages short term absence Shows evidence of being able to hold a return to work meeting with no support required. Completes a thorough and detailed RTW form. Understands and follows the company's absence trigger points.

    Recruitment Planning Shows evidence of forecasting departments recruitment, and reacts efficiently for unexpected recruitment requirements. Can create job description that reflect the skills and responsabilities required.

    Evaluation/feedback Shows evidence of being able to evaluate candidates fairly and hire the most suitable candidate. Able to provide feedback to all candidates.

    Personal Performance Plans (PPP's) Shows evidence of holding quality motivational review meeting, without support. Completes reviews on time, with detailed and quality notes. Shows evidence of using reviews as part of employee development.

    Probationary Review Understands the probationary process by showing evidence of holding quality meeting, without support. Completes reviews on time, with detailed and quality notes Considers employee feedback. Able to act and deal with an underperforming employee during probationary period.

    Counselling Understands the company's disciplinary process and can hold a counselling meeting. Can identify the issue and agree corrective actions. Shows evidence of holding a quality meeting, without support. Is able to document the meeting using detailed and quality notes. Follows up on any actions required.

    Investigations Understands the company's disciplinary process and understands the importance of following the ACAS code of practice. Shows evidence of leading a meeting in a fair and objective way. Uses questioning techniques to establish the facts. Can complete a detailed and quality investigation report.

    Disciplinaries Understands the company's disciplinary process and understands the importance of following the ACAS code of practice. Reviews the employee handbook and delivers a sanction that is fair and consistent.

    Shows evidence of approving holiday/other event requests on PeopleHR via desktop or mobile app.
    Understands how to record holiday/other events correctly on PeopleHR including reasons/details on each entry.
