About the project:
This home is one of five built or acquired by South County Habitat in the late 1990s, originally known as the “Broad Rock Acres” project. In 1998, this unit became the home of Melanie, an extraordinary single mother, and her three children. Twenty-five years later, in 2023, Melanie proudly paid off her mortgage. Sadly, she passed away soon after.
Today, Melanie’s story continues in a beautiful way. The very same home will soon welcome Jailine, also a devoted mother of three, who will create new memories with her own family in this home lovingly built and renovated by volunteers.
Since early this year, volunteers have been hard at work renovating this property to bring it back to ‘like new’, as well as updating utilities to make it highly energy efficient.

Parking Instructions: Please park nose-in on the opposite side of the street from the home. Volunteers will be on hand to assist with parking. To help ensure easy access for everyone, we strongly encourage carpooling.
