hosted by the Homewood Library Foundation
  • Sunday, October 19 from 3-5 p.m.

Ghouls, ghosts & goblins… come one, come all to Trunk-or-Treat hosted by the Homewood Library Foundation!

Thank you for your interest in being part of the Homewood Library Foundation's Trunk-or-Treat. The Foundation is thrilled to host this event as a way for the community to enjoy an afternoon of family and fun. We are very appreciative of our local businesses and community organizations who are interested in volunteering their time, treats, and creativity to make this happen.

Register your trunk to be part of the fun! We're asking organizations or businesses to:

    • Decorate your vehicle as a designated treat station.
    • Prepare for roughly 1000 children.
    • Arrive between 2:00pm-2:45pm to park and setup.

There's no specific requirements as to the treats you provide. You can provide snacks, candy, or non-food/novelty items like fidget toys, stickers, etc. We do recommend non-peanuts or allergy friendly items if possible. You are welcome to include your promotional information with the treats. If you have any leftovers, the Library will gladly use them for Halloween Trick-or-treaters in the library.

  •  FAQs

    • How many treats? Prepare for roughly 1000 children.
    • Can we bring more than one vehicle for our set-up? Yes, just make a note so that we can give you enough space
    • Can we set up near our friend/ group/ team? Yes- just make a note in that accomodation field with your group name.
    • Is Power available? No, we do not have power sources available. You are welcome to bring a generator.
    • Is there somewhere to park for other members of our group? On-site parking for additional vehicles will be very limited and at the upper parking area- from the Oxmoor Road entrance. We encourage groups with multiple participants to arrange to meet off-site from the Library and walk over. The Library will be closed the entire day of October 19th for preparations.

    The Fine Print:

This Trunk-or-Treat is a family-friendly event for all ages, and every entry is expected to respect this. All costumes, outfits, behavior, attitude, language, and decorations must be appropriate for a young audience. No entry shall intentionally scare, frighten or intimidate other entries or attendees. Failure to comply may result in being asked to leave immediately with no warning and may jeopardize a group’s approval to participate in future events. All decisions are at the discretion of Library officials and are final.
