  • Homeschool Field Trip Reservation Form

  • Each field trip is designed with FLDOE SS Standards in mind, giving a core focus to the Florida History curriculum (Grade 4), but will be appropriately scaffolded by our Education Department to accommodate student visits from the Pre K-12 and College/University levels.

Review our Field Trip Guide for further information on Tour Content, FLDOE State Standards, (Updated 2024-2025), and connections to your curriculum.

    General Information

    Planning
Before requesting a reservation, ensure your expected guest headcount is accurate within 10% of your actual party size on the day of your visit, as discrepancies may require altering your reservation and rebooking your tour, resulting in forfeiture of your $50 deposit.

Secure the plans for appropriate transportation, supervision (chaperones at a 1:10 ratio with a minimum of two attending adults are required), meals/lunch, and funding/payment needs.

Notify the History Center of any unique accommodations, requests, or general questions/concerns you may have by commenting in the final section of the Student Field Trip Request Form, or by contacting the History Center at groupsales@tampabayhistorycenter.org.

    Capacity
Tours can be provided for anywhere from 10 to 150 guests.

    Rates and Tours
To qualify for group admission and/or a guided tour, advanced registration, a minimum party size of 10 guests, and payment in a single transaction are required.

    Guided Tours
The History Center Docent Team members are passionate volunteers, and although dedicated, their availability is never guaranteed. Confidently note that every effort will be made to bring in a docent to lead your guided tour upon request.

    Grouping
Groups of 30 or more guests will be divided into subgroups based on the total group size, as determined by the History Center.

    Arrival and Start Time
Please park and arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled tour start time to ensure all guests are present, grouped according to History Center instructions, and checked in with our Visitor Services staff. Guided tours starting late will be abbreviated due to docent scheduling constraints, and guests may not have the opportunity to see all planned exhibits.
