2024-2025 Youth In Philanthropy Application

The Okoboji Foundation Youth in Philanthropy (YIP) Initiative is an annual program intended to empower high school students to make a lasting positive impact in the Lakes Community.
Students receive community service hours as they learn about the work of the Okoboji Foundation and other nonprofits. They also participate in fundraising for their own grant process and recommend awards to area nonprofits for vital capital projects.

ELIGIBILITY: Students at Okoboji, Spirit Lake or Harris-Lake Park High Schools in Dickinson County Iowa. Space is limited to 30 participants.

Applications must be received on or before Sunday, September 10th, 2024.

All applications will be read and scored by committee without knowing names of applicants.

Students will be notified by email and/or phone supplied on application about participation by Monday, September 23rd, 2024.

We expect at least 80% attendance. If you have conflicts, such as Religious Confirmation, etc., that might interfere with your ability to participate actively, we encourage you to apply another year to allow those who can commit fully to take open spots.
