Scholarship Application Form

Scholarship Criteria:

Applicants must:

1. be a survivor of intimate partner violence

2. have been away from the abuser for at least 6 months

3. be a legal citizen or resident of New Zealand

4. be receiving or have received some form of counselling

5. have clear career goals

6. have a strong desire to better themselves through higher education

7. be likely to be accepted in a level 7 tertiary programme

8. be able to provide written confirmation of survivor of intimate partner violence status through an approved agency

What you need BEFORE submitting application:

1. The transcript of your highest qualification

2. Photograph

3. 2x Verification of Identity. E.g. Passport, Driver's License, 18+ card, NZ Birth Certificate (issued after 1998), NZ Citizenship Certificate

4. Application Essay

5. Written confirmation that scholarship criteria is met 

 

Scholarship Deadline: Friday 18 October, 2024

If no formal qualifications have been achieved, please include the last report for the final year that you attended high school.

Please supply two different pieces of evidence for the verification of identity.

At least one of these needs to have your photograph and your name. E.g. passport, driver's license, 18+ card.

One of these pieces of evidence needs to show that you are a citizen or resident of New Zealand. E.g. NZ Citizenship or Resident Certificate, NZ Passport, NZ Birth Certificate.

Please upload a written essay of at least 500 words answering the following questions:

1. Tell us about yourself and why you have chosen to study this course.

2. What would receiving this scholarship mean for you?

3. What are your future career aspirations?
