    Fees:

    The Total Fee for teams to affiliate as a member of the MMSL for the 2024-2025 indoor season are broken down below.

    This fee covers the costs of league operations, administration, facility rental, referee services and applicable GST. (note: All future league fees are subject to change without notice)

    The MMSL is an affiliated Member of the Manitoba Soccer Association (MSA) and as such, all affiliated MMSL member teams must comply with the following MSA requirements:

    A) Register all players on team roster. Player registration cost is $66.00 per player. (Players registered for the Outdoor season are not required to pay again)

    B) Register all Club Officials on team roster. Club Official registration cost is $22.00 per Official (Coaches registered for the Outdoor season are not required to pay again).

    C) Affiliate as a Member of the MSA. Team affiliation cost is $150.00. (Teams that paid this for the Outdoor season are not required to pay again)

    D) Comply with/Complete the Respect in Sport certification requirements for registered Club Officials. - refer to Schedule C for information.

     

    Registration Deadlines:

    Team Registration closes - Sept 27th, 2024

     

    Payment Deadlines:

    - Oct 15th, 2024 - 1st 1/3 payment (minus deposit = $422.18)

    - Nov 7th, 2024 - 2nd 1/3 payment ($1422.18)

    - Dec 6th, 2024 - Final 3rd 1/3 payment ($1422.18)

    All outstanding fees due - No later than Dec 15th 2024.

    Note: The League reserves the right to suspend teams/cancel games should fees not be paid by Dec 15th, 2024 deadline 

     

    Please note: A late fee of $250 will be applied to all outstanding accounts unless account is paid in full or payment plan is set up with the office byt the Dec 15th deadline.

    A Non Sufficient Fund fee (NSF) of $50 will be charged on all returned cheques.

    The League reserves the right to cancel games (season or playoffs) or deduct points from a teams standings if a outstanding fees have not been paid within the first 9 (nine) games of the indoor soccer season.

    The 2024-2025 indoor schedule will be announced after registration has been completed.

    All games will be played (primarily) at the Winnipeg Soccer Federation Soccer North Building, located at 770 Leila Ave and the Winnipeg Soccer Federation Soccer South Complex – located at 211 Chancellor Matheson Road (University of Manitoba).

    Game will primarily be played on Wednesdays and Sundays (typically 1 game a week). Teams may be required to play occasional game Monday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday.

  • LEAGUE REQUIREMENTS

    1. Application & Deposit: Submit the 2024-2025 Application (Schedule B) with a non-refundable $1000 deposit. Application is incomplete without the deposit (Payment options: Schedule A). All past dues must be cleared before a new application is accepted.

    2. Season Dates: October 30, 2024 – mid/late March 2025.

    3. Acceptance: Reservation does not guarantee placement; acceptance notification and invoice will follow.

    4. Membership: MMSL reserves the right to refuse membership per By-Laws.

    5. Performance Bond: All teams must maintain a $300 Performance Bond (transferable from Outdoor play with written confirmation).

    6. Meeting Attendance: Team reps or alternates must attend all special meetings and the AGM (Dec/Jan) via in-person or video call. Failure results in a $50 fine.

    7. Outstanding Dues: Previous season fines/fees must be cleared before new payments are applied.

    8. Performance Bond Refund: Refundable upon written request at season’s end (minus fines); otherwise, it rolls over to the next season.

    9. Mandatory League Email Subscription: Team officials must subscribe to league emails for official communication.

    10. Refund Policy:
    • Withdrawal before the registration deadline: Full refund minus $150 admin fee.
    • Withdrawal after the deadline but before schedule publication: Forfeit ¼ of team fees and deposit.
    • Withdrawal after schedule publication: Full season fee due.
    • Withdrawal or expulsion after the season starts: No refund; all fees due.

    11. Financial Responsibility: Primary and alternate team reps are responsible for all registration-related costs.

    12. Communication: League communication via email; teams must maintain active email addresses and agree to share contacts for league matters.

    13. Media Consent: Teams must inform players that the league may use game footage and photos on social media and/or promotional materials.

  • Season Length & Format

    Half-Field Competition: 14 regular-season games with playoffs for the top 6 teams per division.

    Schedule: To be announced after team registration is complete.

     

    Game Details:

    • 60-minute games (two 30-minute halves).
    • 8 players + goalie per team.
    • Game days: Wednesdays, Saturdays, Sundays at WSF North & South facilities.
    • 6 divisions with 8 teams each.
    • Max 25 players per roster (20 players per game sheet)

     

    Prizes:

    • 1st Place (Season): $250
    • 2nd Place (Season): $100
    • Playoff Winner: $150

     

    Field & Equipment:

    Field size: 47m x 64m, no boards, fields seperated by curtain.
    MMSL uses a Size 5 ball; home teams provide 2 game balls.

    UNIFORM COLOURS
  • Teams must have two uniforms: Home and Away.

    Each player's shirt must clearly display a number. Players without a visible number will not be allowed to play.

    Teams are required to bring their second set of jerseys to every game. If a team fails to provide the second jerseys when requested by the referee, they will forfeit the game and be fined $150.

    SCHEDULE C - TEAM OFFICIALS, RESPECT IN SPORT (RIS) AND CANADIAN POLICE INFORMATION CHECK (CPIC)
  • In accordance with Manitoba Soccer Association Rules:

    ·  All MMSL teams must have at least one registered Club Official (coach/manager) on their roster and bench during the season.

    ·  A maximum of four (4) registered Club Officials are allowed in the technical area, including a qualified trainer.

    ·  All Club Officials must complete the Respect In Sport (RIS) course, mandated by Sport Manitoba.

    ·  When registering, Club Officials must provide their RIS certification number.

    ·  Each team must have at least one RIS-certified Club Official or player present at every game (it doesn’t need to be the same person each game).

    ·  A player can also serve as a Club Official, but they must complete the RIS course.

    ·  Qualified trainers (medical professionals) are exempt from the RIS requirement.

  • CANADIAN POLICE INFORMATION CHECK - CPIC

  • In accordance with MMSL Rules and Regulations all Team Coaches who play youth players in their teams in both indoor and outdoor seasons are required to have valid Criminal Records Checks (CPIC) in place. This is mandatory.

    The Agency name you need to use is on your application is: Manitoba Major Soccer League Incorporated. Please indicate that you are a VOLUNTEER on the application.

    Payment is the responsibility of the individual coach/teams.

    Teams who play youth guest players without a verified CPIC form on file at the league office will forfeit the game.
