WCHSA 2025 Spring Conference "Drafting a Stronger Future: Building the Human Services Dream Team"
Drawing inspiration from the NFL Draft, this theme focuses on selecting, preparing, and empowering the “MVPs” of human services to tackle tomorrow’s biggest challenges. "Drafting a Stronger Future" highlights the process of intentionally building a powerful, skilled, and resilient workforce that can make game-changing impacts in the lives of individuals and communities.
Just as NFL teams draft and develop players to build a championship team, this conference will provide professionals with the insights, tools, and collaborative strategies needed to excel. Sessions will cover emerging trends, best practices, and leadership skills to help human service workers become top picks in their field and transform their organizations.
"Scouting for Potential": Identifying and nurturing talent within the workforce.
"Training for Resilience": Preparing for the dynamic demands of the future.
"Drafting for Diversity": Building inclusive teams that reflect the communities served.
"Game Plans for Success": Strategic approaches for impactful, sustainable service delivery.
This theme is all about preparing the human services “all-star team” ready to make a difference and create a winning future.
The WCHSA Spring conference has two opportunities for presentations on human service topics. Presentations will be on Thursday 5/1 at the Tundra Lodge in Green Bay, WI.
· Multiple concurrent breakout sessions of 45-50 minutes for formal presentations with early morning and late afternoon time slots on 5/1. The breakout sessions will be in tracks of either behavioral health, children and families, economic support, long term support or human service technology. Video screens will be available.
· An exhibition style human service showcase session late morning on 5/1 where Wisconsin human service agencies can share information about innovative human service delivery methods in their community. During the showcase lasting 75 minutes, local agencies will have a table where conference participants can join them for informal discussions of their service method. The showcase will be a peer-to-peer learning opportunity for county human service managers to learn from their colleagues across the state. Showcase topics can be behavioral health, children and families, economic support or long term support services.
