Immediate Burial, also referred to as At-Need Burial at Bluestem, means you are seeking information or assistance related to a death that has occurred, or may occur, within the next several months.

Please follow the prompts and complete this form so that we can best assist you in reserving a plot and scheduling a burial at Bluestem. A member of our staff will contact you within 24 hrs.

Important: When choosing Bluestem as a final place of rest, family members (or a friend) will need the assistance of professionals who manage the after death-care logistics: collecting the deceased from the place of death, filing for the death certificate, shrouding/casketing the deceased, and transporting the deceased to Bluestem on the scheduled day of their burial service.

Local death doulas, home funeral guides, funeral homes, and mortuary transport services that have provided thoughtful care to Bluestem Families are listed on the SERVICE PROVIDERS page on our website. Bluestem staff can assist in making connections to these professionals, but we do not provide these services ourselves.

Bluestem Staff

Bluestem is open every day, dawn to dusk, for visitation. Find it at 1900 Hurdle Mills Road, Cedar Grove, NC 27231. Arrangements for burial are scheduled with staff on weekdays, occasionally on weekends.
