Apprenticeship Program Application
The Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, age, martial status, parental status, physical disability, political affiliation, vetern status or sexual orientation.
To be eligible for the Ironworkers Apprenticeship Program you must meet the following minimum qualifications:
- 18 Years of age or older
- High School Graduate or Earned a GED
- Provide a clear copy of a valid ID, High School Diploma/GED, Birth Certificate & Social Security Card.
- Must live in Local 492's jurisdiction to apply - roughly a 90 mile radius around Nashville, TN (refer to jursdictional map on the website)
During the selection process, extra points will be awarded for a variety of educational experiences. It will improve your chances of being selected into our program if you provide transcripts of your grades for high school and for other courses/classes you may have taken through vocational/trade school, the military, college courses or any other training you may have received.
There will be a $25.00 application fee once your application is submitted and you are called in for an aptitude test.
The cost of the apprenticeship program upon being selected to begin training:
- A tuition fee will be due at the start of each semester of $50.00
- Monthly membership dues to the Union Hall of $35.75
Each question should be answered completely and accurately.
No action will be taken on this application until all questions have been answered and the application has been signed, dated and all required documents uploaded.
